Glenroy Football Club is one of the most experienced and long-standing clubs in the EDFL. Ever since we were founded in 1946, we have not only had a strong senior representation, but our various junior teams have fostered many of our current players.
As proud partners of both Auskick and This Girl Can Victoria initiatives, we have various coaching options for children as young as five, up until they move into seniors after 16 years of age. This is accommodated for both girls and boys who want to pursue their passion to play football.
The last three senior premierships have seen a minimum of half of each of the senior teams come through the junior program. Some of our current senior players who have progressed up from juniors are Aaron Kite, Cody Bowers, Jake Young, Jayden Borg, Joe Nadar, Lachlan Ronaldson, Lachlan McDonald, Tanner Nilsson, Reid Nilsson and Travis Dulic.
In 2021, we will enter an exciting new phase of our club where we'll be launching new junior initiatives that will support, nurture and coach your children in a safe and family friendly sporting environment. We invite you to be a part of our junior program in 2021.
To speak with a member of our Juniors team to find out more, feel free to contact our program managers Rebecca Kelly (0488 990 960) or Brett Jeffry (0438 056 088).
Glenroy Football Club is proud to incorporate Auskick into its calendar for 2021 and can't wait to get the program going again. Contact the club for more information on how we can support your little ones - both boys and girls - in becoming footy players and future stars.
Glenroy Football Club and AFL Australia are supporters of This Girl Can Victoria and we encourage any young female or woman to give the sport a go. Contact the club for more information on how we can support you in becoming a player.
